The working principle of a safety valve is as follows:
1)Normal Operation: During normal operation, the pressure inside the system remains below the set point of the safety valve. The valve plug is held against the valve seat by the spring force, ensuring a tight seal.
2)Pressure Build-Up: If the pressure inside the system exceeds the set point, it creates a force on the valve plug that opposes the spring force.
3)Opening of the Valve: Once the pressure force exceeds the spring force, the valve plug is lifted off the valve seat, allowing the fluid or gas to be discharged through the outlet port. This relieves the excess pressure and prevents it from rising further.
4)Pressure Release: As the pressure decreases below the set point, the spring force becomes greater than the pressure force, causing the valve plug to close and reseal the valve seat.
